Make Your Own Wrapped Silver Ring Workshop Join us for a creative and welcoming silversmithing experience where, by the end of the workshop, you’ll walk away with your very own handcrafted wrapped ring. From the moment you arrive, Sarah or Violeta will greet you with a warm smile and a cup of freshly brewed tea or coffee. Using traditional silversmithing tools and techniques, you’ll learn how to work with recycled sterling silver, choosing between sheet or wire form to begin your project. You’ll start by cutting your silver using a jeweller’s saw, carefully filing your shapes to perfection. Explore a range of texturing techniques—experimenting and creating sample finishes until you discover the one that feels just right. You’ll then learn the annealing process, using a blowtorch to soften the metal before shaping it with hammers. Once your design is formed, you’ll refine and clean your piece to bring out its unique character—an especially satisfying step for those with an eye for detail. Need inspiration? We’ll happily guide you through your options before you begin. All required materials are available to purchase on-site, with most students spending between £20 and £50 depending on their design.
